It has been a while since I have put an entry on my blog, between entertaining the inlaws, work and a poorly Little Miss A it has been pretty hectic, oh and also going out having dinner/lunch with friends and Mr Ed, shopping...what's a girl to do!
So Autumn in Melbourne is pretty cold this year, 4 degrees the other morning so I have been searching the shops for nice tights to keep my legs warm. I'm still steering clear of trousers if I can help it, I don't know why but ever since I had Little Miss A I feel more comfortable and prefer to wear dresses or skirts. (ramble, ramble)
The house behind us has the most amazing show of colour in their back garden and we are lucky to be able to see it.
Oh and you know when I said shopping well I have been doing quite a bit, all second hand and Australian desiners though so I don't feel too bad, more consciencious than carefree consumer.
These lovely bluebirds are from Peta Pledger, I just love them and so many people have asked me where I got them from - and I send them straight to Peta's site. She also makes lovely clothes, but I think I have mentioned that in a previous post.
These shoes were my favourite of all my finds this past month. I have been looking for a nice pair of black, lace-up, low-heeled, shoes but they were either too expensive or too high. I found these almost never worn shoes from Lost + Found Market for only $50 and they have bairly left my feet since I bought them.
So it is good to be back posting again, and hopefully I will get a chance to catch up on my favourite blogs (all of which are on the sidebar). My inlaws are here for another 2 weeks so posts might be still a little infrequent but it is good to be back.
I'm going to see John Grant on Wednesday night and then again on Thursday during the day (I won a ticket from my local radio station and luckily I'm not working that day). I hope he is as good live as he is on his album, I love it so much.
Oh my eyes look really bad in this picture - I forgot to take my goggles to the pool this morning and so had to squint under water to see where I was going, I didn't want to crash into oncoming swimmers.

ReplyDeleteLove your birdie brooch :)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't find nice thick tights you can always double up meanwhile. I've found wearing thin black tights over a pair of colourful ones can give the most fantastic sheen and adds a lot of warmth too :)
Great idea with the 2x tights, I'll give it a go Stef ^U^
