Poppies in the sun

As soon as I saw this skirt in Savers I quickly picked it up and looked over my shoulder to see if anyone else was waiting to pounce. It is such a great skirt, I would say 1950's due to the style and feel of the fabric (a heavy bark cotton), and the abstract print! Ahhhhhh like poppies in a field.

Black nail polish and red belt - not too matching I hope.

I didn't mention that the dye has bled quite a bit but I gave it a good hand wash and most of it has come out, just a little remains but I can live with that.

Jumper: Country Road
Skirt: Savers (label: Generation Three)
Belt: Vintage Garage
Shoes: Rubi Shoes

  1. Great skirt. You just can't go wrong with pockets :D and that print is just great. Your black fingernails are just the cherry on top :)

    Happy weekend!

  3. Ah, that's when you know something is absolutely right for you - when you pick it up and look over your shoulder to see if anyone else was waiting to pounce. I know that feeling well! What a find.
